3/12/2019 The Use of Psychodrama in the Treatment of Addicts, Adult Children of Alcoholics, and Children of Adverse ExperiencesRead NowA lot of pain reflects from a family that has been through addiction and trauma. Their behavior, feelings, and constraint show how they have been functioning off-balance and are not able to stick to the right path. Usually, families who have been through trauma have either uncontrolled or governed chaos. The children of such families go through adverse childhood experiences and are not confident enough to fight the world. For such families and kids, therapies such as sociometry, psychodrama and group therapy have become preferred therapies of choice at the time of treating their addiction and trauma. However, not all families who are afflicted with this problem come forward. Eventually, they get into depression and anxiety as a defence mechanism. They start keeping secrets and have unresolved anger and grief. Psychodrama helps in making people vent out their issues and start anew in their lives. It helps people to move from their pains towards the betterment of their lives.
